Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs, Features,
and Country-specific Price
Now that the dust has had a chance to settle following the September 1st debut of the revamped Tesla Model 3 Highland, intriguing details about the vehicle continue to emerge.
While the latest iteration of the Tesla Model 3 Highland represents a design refresh from the preceding generation, it transcends mere cosmetic enhancements. Tesla has elevated the new Model 3 design refresh to unprecedented heights, striking a harmonious blend of luxury, comfort, performance, and environmentally conscious transportation.
Delving into the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs, this exploration promises to evolve as additional details unfold over time. Stay tuned for ongoing updates to this page as more information becomes available.
Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs-Exterior Dimensions and Weight
Tesla promptly released the exterior dimensions information on its regional websites coinciding with the launch of the new Tesla Model 3. The provided figures are in millimeters, but upon conversion to inches, it became evident that only the width of the car precisely matched that of the old-generation Tesla Model 3 currently available in North America.
In terms of alterations, Tesla extended the length of the new Model 3 Highland refresh by 26 mm (equivalent to 1 inch) while concurrently reducing the height by 2 mm (0.078 inches).
Turning attention to weights, the latest Tesla Model 3 Highland carries a noticeable increase in mass compared to its predecessor. The base variant, Model 3 Standard, is 342 lbs (155 kg) heavier, and the Model 3 Long Range AWD exhibits an added weight of 216 lbs (98 kg) when compared to the previous model.
The augmented weight of the Model 3 Highland refresh can be ascribed to the incorporation of new components and potentially a larger or heavier battery pack. Additionally, newly implemented body reinforcements, such as the heftier doors designed for enhanced side-impact safety, contribute to the overall increased weight of the Tesla Model 3 Highland.
While the overall width of the vehicle remains constant, Tesla has expanded both the front and rear track by 4 mm each. This intriguing development warrants further clarification from experts, and we will keep you updated as soon as more information is revealed.
The external measurements of the current and old Model 3 models are shown in detail in the following table for comparison (see the full specs of the old Tesla Model 3).

Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs-Interior Dimensions and Features
Tesla has recently unveiled the interior dimensions of the new Tesla Model 3 Highland through its Owner’s Manual for Europe, the Middle East, and China (See more details here). A detailed comparison of the interior specifications between the latest and previous generations of the Tesla Model 3 is presented in the table below.
The new Model 3 Highland exhibits a reduction in rear legroom, with a decrease of 0.7 inches (17 mm) compared to its predecessor. Nonetheless, Tesla has enhanced shoulder room for both front and rear passengers in the Model 3 Highland by 0.4 inches (11 mm) and 0.2 inches (4 mm) respectively, distinguishing it from the old model. The remaining interior dimensions remain largely unchanged.
Notably, Tesla has introduced the Ambient Lighting feature in the interior of the Model 3 Highland, setting it apart from the previous generation Model 3. Additionally, subtle yet significant improvements include the incorporation of ventilated and perforated seats, contributing to an upgraded level of passenger comfort.
Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs-Front and Rear Screens
The first cars with a rear touchscreen as part of the 2021 design update were the Tesla Model S and Model X. The Tesla Model 3 Highland now has a back screen as well.
It’s possible that Tesla chose to provide an OEM option because it recognized the appeal of aftermarket rear screens for the Model 3 and Model Y. Although much smaller than the front screen, this one can still be used for HVAC and entertainment purposes.
Range and Charging
With the next 2024 Tesla Model 3 Highland update, Tesla has significantly improved both range and charging speed. We do not currently have the EPA’s anticipated range figures for the new Model 3, as it has not yet been released in North America. Thus, for Model 3 Highland range numbers, we are forced to rely on the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure) and CLTC (China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle).
Tesla Model 3 Highland Standard Range
- Range: 554 km with 18-inch Photon rims and wheel covers (previously 491 km)
- Range: 513 km with 19-inch Nova rims (surcharge 1,700€)
- WLTP – Consumption: 13.2 kWh/100km (previously 14.4 kWh/100km)
Tesla Model 3 Highland Maximum Range
- Range: 678 km with 18-inch Photon rims and wheel covers (previously 626 km)
- Range: 629 km with 19-inch Nova rims (surcharge 1,700€)
- WLTP – Consumption: 14.0 kWh/100km (previously 14.7 kWh/100km)
Performance
In summary, one can discern several disparities in the interior between the new iteration of the Tesla Model 3 and its predecessor. Consequently, Tesla Model 3 Highland Specs, such as TPE floor mats and the sunroof, are incompatible for shared use.
