Tesla Officially Announces the Upgraded Model 3 (Project Highland)

Tesla has officially introduced the enhanced Model 3 as part of the Project Highland initiative. The company has implemented upgrades to the exterior, carried out notable interior enhancements, and introduced new color options for the vehicle.

The recently unveiled upgraded Model 3, a focal point of discussions in recent months, has undergone enhancements as part of Project Highland. On September 1, Tesla China provided details about the upgraded Model 3, which is now open for orders. Reports are indicating that Giga Shanghai has transitioned to manufacturing the revamped Model 3, bringing positive news as residents of the region will be the first to experience the new vehicle. However, information regarding the availability of orders and delivery in the US and Europe remains undisclosed.

This marks the first update to the car in six years. In China, the facelifted version of the rear-wheel drive Model 3 is priced at 259,900 yuan ($35,775), while the two-motor, Long Range all-wheel drive version is priced at 295,900 yuan ($40,855.25). Deliveries are anticipated to commence in the fourth quarter.

As part of Project Highland, the Tesla Model 3 has undergone a notable transformation in its lighting design. The front and rear lights now feature an updated design, with the front light fenders adopting a sharp and thin profile. The Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive Refresh Edition boasts a maximum range of up to 713 kilometers (estimated by CLTC) (443 miles), while the base Model 3 offers a range of 606 km (estimated by CLTC) (377 miles).
